All Educational Institutions In Pakistan Will Reopen From September 15, Reiterates PM

It was decided in principle to reopen the universities and colleges from September 15. According to details, a meeting of inter-provincial education ministers was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood. It has also decided to open educational institutions from 9th to 12th class from September 15. Corona cases will be monitored after the opening of these classes. The NCOC will give final approval for the opening of educational institutions. The meeting also considered opening hostels attached to educational institutions. Considering the situation, It will be decided to open the sixth to eighth grade classes after a week.

The decision to open classes I to V will also be taken in the meeting after monitoring the situation for a week. The issue of uniform curriculum was also discussed in the meeting of inter-provincial education ministers. The meeting will finalize SOPs in educational institutions, short academic syllabus and holding of examinations in 2021 is on the agenda. The issue of uniform curriculum will also be considered in the meeting of education ministers. In this regard, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood has said that the final decision on the commencement of educational activities will be taken on Monday. Talking on a private TV program, he said that a meeting of education ministers of all the provinces would be held on Monday to revive the educational activities in which it would be decided to start the educational activities in phases from September 15.

Primary classes are also scheduled to start in a week. According to SOPs, students will be required to wear masks. Shafqat Mahmood said that one day half of the students in the class would come and the next day another social distance would not allow the transmission of germs in the children. Shafqat Mehmood said that next year in March 2021, a uniform curriculum will be implemented from first grade to primary, it will be implemented in all schools including elite English medium and low fee private schools.
