Drug use is a major problem and this disease is spreading rapidly in Pakistan. Young people are particularly seem to be the victims. Drug use has destroyed millions of homes. Even women seem to be using it, which is a matter of concern. Drug use also leads to other bad habits such as lying and stealing, etc., and he steals money from home to satisfy his addiction or takes money from his family under the pretext of some other work.
On the other hand, a drug addict endangers his own life as well as the lives of others. According to a study, 14% of traffic accidents occur as a result of driving under the influence of drugs.
It is often seen that people are driving while intoxicated and singing loudly and if someone tries to stop them, the upside-down gossip starts. People who are addicted to drugs have suicidal thoughts. In addition, according to a recent survey, young people who are addicted to drugs are more likely to be involved in crimes such as fights and thefts. Drug use can impair a person's ability to make decisions and control themselves. Its not hard to recognize its disadvantages. When a person is ready to deal with their addiction, they need to think about how stopping drug use can improve their lives and the lives of those around them. This problem has been going on for a long time but unfortunately we have not been able to overcome it.
A large number of people use drugs to get rid of various domestic or other problems but this habit puts them in more trouble. Some young people, fed up with boredom, start using cigarettes, handkerchiefs, betel leaves and other dangerous substances in the cycle of doing something new or seeing others, which can lead to cancer and other diseases.
In this regard, parents often act negligently and do not interrupt their children. According to a report, the number of drug users in Pakistan has crossed 7 million, of which 78% are men and 22% are women. This number is increasing by 40,000 people every year, which is a very dangerous thing and if the disease is not controlled, this number could increase exponentially.
Some work has begun on drug prevention. More than 106 million worth of drugs have been set on fire in Karachi recently. A few days ago, police in Islamabad arrested 271 people involved in drug use and seized more than 115 kg of drugs. If other such steps are taken, it can be hoped that the drug trade in the country can be stopped - the media can also play a role in drug prevention.
There is a need to raise awareness among the people. Drug use is a serious problem and its effects can be really harmful. The government should set up institutions to help people avoid the disease. Only by cracking down on drug dealers can they be controlled, otherwise mental illness will increase in the country. Caution is always better than cure and this is the best way to avoid drugs.
