TOTAL NUMBER OF ACTIVE CASES OF CORONA IN PAKISTAN

In early 2020, after a December 2019 outbreaks in China, the World Health Organization identified SARS-CoV-2 as a new type of coronavirus. The outbreak quickly spread around the world.

COVID-19 is a disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 that can trigger what doctors call a respiratory tract infection. It can affect your upper respiratory tract (sinuses, nose, and throat) or lower respiratory tract (windpipe and lungs ).Corona virus cases in Pakistan continue to fluctuate, but the overall situation is improving and the number of cases has decreased.

According to the data released on Wednesday, 675 new cases of Corona were reported in Pakistan in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases reported in Pakistan to 281,136. In one day, 4,889 patients of Corona have recovered in Pakistan, after which the number of people who have recovered has increased to 254,286. At present, the number of active cases of Corona in Pakistan is 20,836.

The highest number of corona cases in Pakistan has been reported in Sindh where corona was confirmed in 122,016 people. So far 93,571 cases of Corona have been reported in Punjab, 34,324 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,122 in Islamabad, 11,780 in Balochistan, 2,218 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,105 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced a Rs 1100 billion rehabilitation package for Karachi. He said that a committee comprising stakeholders has been set up to solve the problems of Karachi. It will solve the problems of sanitation, clean water, sewerage system, solid waste, transport, roads and BRT lines.
